We are pleased to offer this lovely buck and doe figurine manufactured by Design Gifts International in Corona, California circa 1974.
Design Gifts International Inc. is the world's largest manufacturer of resin-based gifts and houseware products and one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of decorative plastic products for the home.
This wildlife statue depicts one deer lying down resting while another is standing watch. It was made from ground pecan and walnut shells that are held together with resin. After removing from the mold, it was hand-finished with stains and lacquers to create a unique look. This material reminds us of Syroco Wood.
It stands 5 1/2" tall. The oval base measures 5 1/4" by 6 1/4" in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks. Just a lovely figurine that would be a welcomed addition to any wildlife collection - and a wonderful gift for that special sportsman/ woodsman/outdoorsman or hunter in your life.
